College Civics Week

We, the students unite, speak up, and advocate for higher education. We will rally and march at Olympia campus. We demand maintenance of quality and affordability of higher education. We will apply skills and knowledge gained through our years of academia to speaking to the public, in order to show that we, the students, care about our education, our dreams, and our future.

• The rally is held in collaboration with 18 colleges in WA State.
• Buses depart from SCC at 10:30 A.M.
• The Rally in the Rotunda will start at 12 noon. It will run about 1 hour.
• We've invited legislators, and the Governor to address the students. We'll select student speakers as well.
• We will arrive back to SCC around 5:00 P.M.
• There will be 30 seats available. Reservation is free and first-come-first served.
• Lunch provided.
• If you are below 18 years old, you need your guardian's signature.
• Be prepared to speak out loud (personal stories, chants, songs are needed)
• We recommend dressing warm and comfortable.
• If you plan to travel by yourself, you do not have to complete the travel forms listed below.
